Liepolt-Prize
The Austrian Committee for Danube Research of the International Association for Danube Research awards the Reinhard Liepolt Prize in recognition of the contributions of former president Hofrat Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Reinhard Liepolt to the limnological study of the Danube. The prize aims to support young scientists.
It is awarded for outstanding work in limnologically relevant research, with a focus on the Danube and its tributaries within the Austrian Danube basin. Evaluation criteria include originality, high scientific quality, and, as an additional criterion, practical relevance. Eligible works must be published and may include diploma theses, master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, habilitation theses, monographs, book chapters, or articles in scientific journals.
The prize can be awarded to any scientist who completed the submitted research work within the last three years (as of the call for applications), either in Austria or as part of an international research program in which Austria participated.
